Urban Farms - The concept of Urban Farms was arrived after market study of the requirement and desire of many successful individuals to own a farmhouse, away from the polluted confines of the city. To drive out on good motorable roads to a place that is picturesque and has environs conducive to a weekend stay/retreat and at the same time to have a sizeable portion of land on which one can grow & farm fruit trees or plants and by doing so be closer to nature. These farm plots ranging from 10,000sft to 5acres are set within a 100+ acres of gated community with amenities. These large tracts of land would otherwise be very expensive to own close to the city.
Also Karnataka does not allow an individual to own a farmland unless one is an agriculturist and/or has a yearly income below 2.5lacs. This was a major hindrance to likeminded people who wanted to possess farmland with clear marketable titles.
